Aviation Medicine is a broad subject and there is sufficient flexibility in the various papers offered to enable students to tailor a course to their own particular interests and academic needs.
There are three main streams of postgraduate teaching and research: Aviation Medicine, Occupational Medicine, and Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport. In each stream there are various qualifications available from a one year entry level Certificate, a two-year/part-time Diploma and fully taught (papers only) Master Degrees.
Aviation Medicine (Medical Doctors)
- Master in Aviation Medicine (MAvMed)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Civil Aviation Medicine (PGCertCAvMed)
Occupational Medicine (Medical Doctors)
- Master in Occupational Medicine (MOccMed)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine (PGDipOccMed)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Medicine (PGCertOccMed)
Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport (Medical Doctors)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport (PGDipAeroRT)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport (PGCert AeroRT)
Qualifications open to Nurses, Paramedics and other Health Professionals
- Master in Health Science (MHealSc) Endorsed in Aviation Medicine
- Master in Health Science (MHealSc) Endorsed in Occupational Medicine
- Master in Health Science (MHealSc) Endorsed in Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport
- Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (PGDipHealSc) Endorsed in Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport
- Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences (PGCertHealSc) Endorsed in Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport
