Final-year Pharmacy students based in Gisborne can complete their one week Hospital placement at the Hauora Tairāwhiti Pharmacy Department whilst they are in Gisborne. Your placement time table is organised to ensure you meet the minimum requirements of the Hospital placement. The remainder of the five weeks you will also have pharmacy placements at local community pharmacies.
Pharmacy students based at Wairoa will spend all of the 5 weeks based at Wairoa Pharmacy
As part of the TIPE programme students spend approximately three days a week in the Pharmacy Department or Community Pharmacy department, approximately one day is spent observing and working with other health professionals, and one day is spent in class/activity time or working on your group community education resource.
