The Art of Palliative Medicine - 2017 Semester 2

I chose to do a painting for my creative piece as I am not good at art, I haven’t painted a single thing since year 9 art, but I remembered enjoying it, and my palliative care interview inspired me to step outside my comfort zone, as Mrs X was doing and had done with her life. Mrs X mentioned how her favourite palliative care afternoons with Mary Potter Hospice were the arts and crafts ones, and that she enjoyed being creative when she could, so I decided that I couldn’t pass up the first opportunity in years to try my hand at painting.

Our academic building is temporarily closed for seismic reasons but our top class teaching, studying and research programmes remain in full swing.
