Requesting articles, books and documents

To request articles, books, or other documents, please email the details to interloan.uow@otago.ac.nz or call us on 04 385 5307.

This is a mediated service and charges may apply.


Place an Interloan request

The interloan request does not work on Interet Explorer
Please use a modern browser, e.g. Chrome, Firefox or Edge

How do I place a request?

  1. Click the Place an Interloan request button above.
  2. Sign in with your university username and password.

  3. After signing in, click the CREATE REQUEST button.

  4. Fill in the form with information you wish to request.

  3. If this is the first time signing in, click SET/RESET PASSWORD to set a password.

  4. 4. You will receive an email with instructions for creating a new password
  5. After signing in, click the CREATE REQUEST button.

  6. Fill in the form with information you wish to request.

What happens after I place a request?

You will receive an email confirmation with an estimated delivery time.

We will inform you if there are any fees associated with the request. We will only proceed with the request after we receive confirmation from you. You will then receive an email with an estimated delivery time.

How soon will I get the book/article?

Articles generally arrive within 3-5 working days.

Books generally arrive within 3-5 working days. It may take 4-6 weeks if coming from overseas.

We will email you when the interloan arrives.

Where do I return interloan books to?

Please return the book to the Wellington Medical & Health Sciences Library.
