The Hon. Tariana Turia launched Waka Hourua, a National Suicide Prevention Programme for Māori and Pacific communities, in Wellington on Monday 10 February. Waka Hourua is a partnership between Le Va and national Māori health organisation, Te Rau Matatini. It will provide a national voice for suicide prevention in Māori whānau, hapū, iwi, Pacific families and communities.

Our academic building is temporarily closed for seismic reasons but our top class teaching, studying and research programmes remain in full swing.
