Is some binge-drinking a form of deliberate self-harm?

Young New Zealanders aged 18–24 are the demographic most likely to experience harm from hazardous drinking and also to be hospitalised for self-injurious behaviour. Focusing on the lived-experience of young adults, this research investigates whether some instances of binge-drinking may be deliberate acts of self-harm.
