The Zócalo of Cuernavaca, c. 1925, with its fresno trees. From Sergio Barrera, Crónicas de Cuernavaca, 49.
A fresno tree, with the statue of General Morelos, near the Cortés Palace; it was not present during Lowry's time in Cuernavaca but on his return in 1946 he commented on the hideous erection.
