Blueprint of Ww Superheated locomotive, Hillside, Dunedin, (n. d).

Rolling stock comprises all the vehicles that move on a railway, such as locomotives, wagons, and cars. Ernie Webber was interested in this facet of rail and collected numerous books that detail specifications of where a locomotive or wagon was built, the type and diameter of wheels used, the engine capacity, and other such minutiae. He also obtained blueprints of locomotives and carriages. This blueprint of a locomotive built at Hillside, Dunedin, gives the weight of wheels and boiler tube capacities. Similar details are in Locospotters’ Annual, an essential read for any train-spotter.
