With full control of book and cover design, Christine Buess has used Lindsay Crook's 'Mother, Father and Child' (1996) for an eye-catching cover image (which runs over on to the front flap) on this book about the artist's paintings. On the back cover she has used a photograph of Crooks by Lloyd Godman that leads to the necessary promotion, in this case praise from the poet David Eggleton. As the artist enjoys depicting the human figure, he is standing beside two curvaceous neon figures, the result of time-exposure light drawing.
