George George, an unknown jacket designer working for John Lehmann, has conjured images from Jean-Paul Sartre's novel La Nausee (1938) and utilized them on the cover: a pensive Roquentin lazily listening to music in his Bouville apartment, and the Englishwoman floating in the background. This is the third impression, translated in to English by Lloyd Alexander.
