Theo Schoon's photograph of a hovering bird of prey, which accompanies Roger Duff's article on 'Maori Art in Rock Drawings', has been utilized by the painter and photographer Eric Lee-Johnson (1908-93) to great effect on this issue of Arts Year Book. Lee-Johnson was editor of the Arts Year Book.
