Alexander Monro (secundus), Anatomical Lectures delivered by Doctor Alexander Monro, Professor of Anatomy etc in the College of Edinburgh. Winter 1773/4.

Alexander Monro (secundus), Anatomical Lectures delivered by Doctor Alexander Monro, Professor of Anatomy etc in the College of Edinburgh. Winter 1773/4.Note that volume 3 [M175b] has a section cut out. Panic not. It can be read almost verbatim in a text published by Secundus' son, Alexander Monro Tertius, in 1840. After Secundus died, Tertius posthumously published more of his father's work. He was apparently in such a rush to get copy to the printers that he physically removed the pages he wished to publish from the text. The footnote explains the following to be an 'excerpt', and external evidence shows it to be an extremely literal one.
