Alexander Monro (primus), Manuscript notes on chemistry, Pitcairn's Elements, etc. [c.1730].Dr James Crawford (1682-1731) taught four courses of Chemistry in Edinburgh from 1713 to 1726, and was the Librarian for the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh from 1711 to 1714. Primus attended these lectures and wrote them in this manuscript, one of the earliest examples of his hand. Primus' writing is significantly different from the measured hand in which he wrote his Life (see cabinet 2).
