This database contains information from published reports of Leptospira isolated from animal hosts. The data has been collated through a systematic review from the earliest published reports through 31 August 2015, and will be updated periodically. This work is the result of many individuals at a large number of collaborating institutions.
The database is named for Dr. Kirschner who was a pioneering Leptospira researcher at the Dutch Royal Tropical Institute, the Pasteur Institute in Bandung, and the University of Otago.
