WHAT

Disability Studies is an interdisciplinary academic field that focuses on the experiences, perspectives, rights and leadership of disabled people. Interpreting disability within a social justice framework, Disability Studies encourages the exploration of disability issues across a wide range of disciplines as well as different socio-cultural, political, economic, historical, legal, and educational contexts.

The aim of this inaugural conference is to provide a forum for people from diverse backgrounds (e.g., different life experiences, professions, research/academic disciplines, government/business/community organizations) to share their knowledge and research with others. It is also intended to host a trade exhibition showcasing new technology.
