Kate Duignan – 2004

Duignan Personal Diary

Kate Duignan had one novel, Breakwater (2001), and some short fiction published in periodicals before she took up the Burns Fellowship in 2004. The main business of the year was to write and Duignan began another novel, set in Rome. However, her personal diary reveals other realities, most noticeably the ever-present rent due schedule. Duignan is currently one of the co-ordinators of the M.A. programme at the International Institute of Modern Letters, Victoria University, Wellington.
