Student Experience encompasses three student-centric services.

Student Experience contacts

Student Administration

Student Administration - supports students' course management, from application through to graduation. The portfolios are managed by three Group Leaders.

The portfolios include:

  • University and programme admissions and enrolment
  • Course management, including maintaining academic records
  • Scholarship, prizes and awards
  • Assessment and progression
  • Graduation

Timetables

Timetables is a small team, but an important service. The careful and considered work of the timetables team facilitates a smooth and functioning university. The team schedules and rooms all teaching-related events (including lectures, tutorials, laboratories, film screenings and final examinations), and handles casual room bookings.

Student Development

Student Development supports students to help plan and achieve their goals at university and beyond.

Student Development work with students to help students identify their goals and plan their course and studies, and provide a holistic approach to help students engage with the opportunities and support available (for example, exchange opportunities, extracurricular interests and engaging with the student support services). The team work in partnership with academic staff and the student support services on campus to ensure the students can make an informed decision.

Student Development offer appointments face-to-face in the AskOtago Central Hub, via Zoom and via phone. Students can book an appointment through the 'Make an appointment' web form.
