After graduating with Honours in Communication Studies, I secured a role at Gareth Morgan Investments, working my way up to the role of Marketing Executive.
I helped produce 'The Answer Room', and used media interest in Gareth Morgan to help improve financial literacy in New Zealand. In this role I used the skills gained in my studies, such as writing surveys and web content, organising events, and producing copy for advertisements.
I am now based in London, working as a Marketing Executive at the Video Arts Group. This company, started by John Cleese and others, produces corporate training resources.
Without my degree, I wouldn't have been capable of any of this, and while I may have secured an interview, I certainly wouldn't have got this job!
