Please check in at the Welcome Desk upon your arrival in Dunedin.

Sign up for a Campus Tour
Join a tour led by one of our friendly student mentors to learn the location of key buildings and services around campus. A sign up sheet will be available at the Welcome Desk.
International Student Information Session
Date: Wednesday, 22 February 2012
Time: 9:00am—Noon
Venue: St. David Lecture Theatre Complex
Topics include:
- Welcome and Introduction to the University of Otago
- Meet your international support team
- Academic Information Session
- Social Events – what’s on during Orientation?
- EXPO of Student Services
- Financial Literacy Session
Taieri Gorge Train Trip
Registration is essential as spaces are limited and available on a first come first served basis.
Please note that registration is only available when checking in at the Welcome Desk.
Date: Wednesday, 22 February 2012
Time: 3pm (please arrive at the station no later than 2.45pm)
Venue: Train departs from Dunedin Railway Station, Anzac Square, Dunedin.

BBQ for New International Students
Date: Wednesday, 22 February 2012
Time: 6pm-8pm
Venue: Abbey College Common - Enter on Castle Street (between Howe St. & Brook St.)
There will be buses available for transport to the BBQ from the Dunedin Railway Station after the Train Trip. Please keep your Train Trip ticket for entry to the BBQ.

Information Sessions for New International Students arriving throughout the year
If you are a new international PhD or Masters by thesis student and are unable to attend the main orientation session because you are arriving throughout the year, please check in at the International Office Reception.
An appointment will be arranged for you to meet with an International Student Adviser who will cover arrival information and answer any questions you may have at this time.
