The OUCA has four new childcare centres under construction on Campus, opening April 2014.
They will sit alongside Te Kaupapa ō Rōpu Tiaki Tamaiti (College Centre) 137 Union Street East
All children enrolled at the existing Nursery, Preschool and Fulltime Centres will transfer to the new centres.
• Te Pārekereke o Te Kī a bilingual centre for children aged 0 - 5 years.
• Te Maioha for children under 2 years
• Te Puna and Te Uru for children over 2 years
You can now put your child’s name on the waiting register for any of these centres.
This centre provides care and education for children from birth to 2 years and has facilities for 23 children at any one time with a staffing ratio of 1 adult to 3 children under 1; 1 adult to 4 children over 1.
This centre provides education and care for children from 2 - 5 years and is licensed for 35 children with an enrolment of 30 aimed for, and a staffing ratio of 1 adult to 6 children. 20 hours free childcare available.
This centre is for children using a full day (paying 8 hours minimum per day), 5 days a week, and has a roll of 25 children from 2-5 years. Staffing ratio is 1 adult to 5 children.

This Centre provides care and education for children 0 - 5 years in a mixed age group setting with a maximum licensed number of 28 children at staffing ratios of 1:4 for infants and 1:10 for children over 2 years. 20 hours free childcare available.

For "Under 2" places you are advised to complete and return a waiting register form at the beginning of your pregnancy. Once we receive your waiting register form you will receive a letter from the Nursery / College Centre outlining the enrolment process and availability of places.
