Course information
This paper is designed for those wanting frontline wildlife management and research experience. You will have five weeks’ research work experience within some wildlife management organisation. The types of projects that could be undertaken vary widely within the spectrum of wildlife management activities.
Ideally you will be involved in semi-independent research entailing project design, data collection and analysis, and write-up. Your employer also gets a chance to look at your talents and sometimes this has led to them hiring the student. You could be based anywhere in NZ, or overseas for that matter.
This course is only available for Postgraduate Diploma in Wildlife Management students. Your grade will be based on a written report, a diary, and an evaluation by your host supervisor.
