The Centre for Innovation is a hub for activity at the interface of research and business, housing University of Otago spin-out and start-up companies alongside other companies and University offices that facilitate technology translation and commercialisation. It is also home to Research & Enterprise and Otago Innovation Limited and is the centre of the University’s commercialisation activities.
Research & Enterprise co-ordinates and facilitates the research effort of the University of Otago.
Otago Innovation Limited (OIL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of Otago, charged with exclusive responsibility for the commercialisation of intellectual property arising from research within the University.
