Shirley works part time as a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Postgraduate Nursing Studies. Her clinical background includes emergency, surgical, acute medical, primary health and palliative care nursing. Shirley's interests are in primary health and advanced nursing practice.
Shirley also has a clinical role as a Nurse Practitioner within a large integrative primary practice based in mid-Canterbury, and volunteers as a Paramedic with St John Ambulance Services.
