It’s not often that we carry a personal item in our news feed, but the Head of Department’s 65th birthday is one of those occasions.
The Department of Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Medicine’s November Research Meeting provided perfect cover for clandestine efforts to mark the occasion.
A surprise birthday cake was smuggled in prior to Professor Gary Hooper’s arrival, and he was greeted with an enthusiastic rendition of the “Happy Birthday” song.
We can’t let a milestone like that go unmarked!
