COVID-19 update – 14 January 2021

Thursday 14 January 2021

The University of Otago welcomes the Government’s announcement to enable 1,000 international tertiary students who began their study in New Zealand, but were caught offshore when border restrictions began, to return to New Zealand.

Get a test if you have cold, flu, or COVID‑19 symptoms

Need a COVID‑19 test? Call your GP or 0800 VIRUS19 to get tested.

Practise good hygiene

Wash your hands often, and cough and sneeze into your elbow.

Stay away if you’re sick

If you’re feeling unwell, don’t go to University, work, or parties. Staying home is the best way to prevent the potential spread of infection.

Wi‑Fi’s not just for Netflix…

If we need to start contact tracing, staying connected to the campus Wi‑Fi makes it easy.
