COSC 385 is available only to Computer Science majors with a strong academic record and requires departmental approval. Places are limited according to the number of staff members available to provide supervision.

An individual research project under the supervision of an academic staff member. The details of the work involved will be variable depending on the student and the project. Final assessment will be on the basis of a report of up to 6000 words, double marked by the supervisor and another academic staff member, and an oral presentation intended to clarify any outstanding issues which can only result in an upwards adjustment of the grade assigned to the final written report.
