Overview
An examination of business principles and practices with a strong focus on attributes such as ethics, social awareness, responsibility and sustainability.
Socially Responsible Business is a response to new and emerging social, ethical and environmental challenges in an increasingly connected world. The concept of social responsibility has become an important factor in how organisations are perceived by the wider public. The decisions and actions of businesses are available internationally for public scrutiny through the media and social networking sites on the Internet. We will examine the arguments for and against businesses venturing from their primary goal and look at the challenges, as well as examples of success stories. Since businesses don't steer themselves, our journey begins by first looking at responsible leadership and individuals that see themselves as change agents for good within their organisations.
