- To grasp the concepts and gain an appreciation of sustainability and sustainable development, in relation to business
- To consider the key current environmental issues and future possibilities
- To explore the legal, institutional, global and national contexts of sustainability
- To be able to measure the sustainability of current practice through TBL reporting and carbon and ecological foot printing
- To consider how business is currently 'doing' sustainability and evaluate what that means
- To evaluate how participants can bring about more sustainable operations in their own lives and organisations
- To examine one's own leadership style through the lens of contemporary leadership theories
- To explore how one's behaviour affects others
- To align appropriate behaviours to achieve strategic actions through others
