    By the end of the DENT 533 students are expected to demonstrate the ability to:

    • CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING: The paper will increase the visibility of Māori and Pacific contexts of health and oral health while also embracing values and perspectives of all cultures. 
    • ETHICS: Students will understand the importance of ethics in the process of engagement, health promotion and communication
    • LIFELONG LEARNING: Students will develop knowledge and skills to convey key health messages and evaluate their effectiveness through the commitment to the on-going learning.
    • RESEARCH: Students will draw on evidence-based understanding of dentistry to enable education and health promotion in a community setting.
