Overview
Introduction to the use of information and communication technology in educational contexts. Pertinent theoretical, practical and curricular issues will be examined. Previous computing experience is not required. The Internet is used as the delivery system.
As someone who is interested in psychology or education, you would probably want to explore and understand how the advent of digital and mobile technologies in the last 20 years has impacted on young people's lives. You may also like to understand the key educational issues that we are currently facing in the 21st century. This paper is designed to provide you with a deep understanding of the sociological and psychological influences of information and communication technologies on teaching, learning and education. If you are a future-oriented person, you should consider taking this paper. No technical computing knowledge is required to take this paper.

- Paper Structure
- The paper is arranged around several discussion conferences, each looking at a separate topic related to the use of informaiton and communitcation technology (ICT) in education. Conferences normally run for two weeks and involve a combination of readings and online asynchronous discussions.
