Overview
A study of the relationship between music and theatre in historical and contemporary contexts. Emphasis is given to the analysis of performances as text, and the study of the practical function of music and theatre synergies.
This paper is a study of music and theatre interconnections with an emphasis on creativity, history, popular culture, practical function and cultural context. Students will understand conventions, challenge assumptions about disciplinary frameworks and think critically across disciplines.
