- Gain an understanding of the underlying representational issues and ethical complexity involved in performance that includes violence and trauma
- Gain an understanding of key theories and approaches pertinent to this field of performance
- Develop individual research interests in the area
- Begin to develop and implement an individual philosophical and practical approach to traumatic and violent representation in performance
- Further develop research and academic writing skills
