Diabetes Action Month is an annual event organised by Diabetes NZ over the month of November, to take action for Aotearoa New Zealand's fastest growing health condition.

With over 250,000 people in New Zealand thought to be living with a form of diabetes, there is a great need to raise awareness around the condition and ways that we can support those living with diabetes.

This year, the theme for Diabetes Action Month is Diabetes Matters. Check out the events below to see how EDOR is getting involved in Diabetes Action Month 2022!

Transforming Lives: 100 years of insulin, 24 November 2022

EDOR, along-side the Healthier Lives–He Oranga Hauora National Science Challenge, Diabetes NZ and Lions New Zealand District 202F are hosting a symposium to celebrate 100 years since the first dose of insulin was administered for the treatment of diabetes.The event will also highlight the new technologies that are available for the management of diabetes, and how they can improve the lives of those living with diabetes in Aotearoa New Zealand.
