I am 8/10ths Director of the Rural Medical Immersion Programme. In that role I manage the programme and teach into it.

Rural Medical Immersion Programme


Board member of the Clutha Community Health Company Limited which operates the hospital services, community services and the general practice from the Clutha Health First facility in Balclutha. Member of MCC, MASC, OSCE subcommittee and Written subcommittee, ALM and the RMIP CSC.


Still work 12 hours a week as a General Practitioner in Clutha Health First General Practice, in Balclutha where I have worked initially as a medical officer since 1974 then in General Practice since 1980.

Additional details

I have worked for two years in Scotland from 1977 to !978 in the orthopaedic unit at Bridge of Earn Hospital and in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Perth Royal Infirmary.
