New Zealand teachers' perceptions of and insights into their wellbeing: A mixed method approach

The proposed study aims to investigate wellbeing among primary and secondary teachers in New Zealand in order to identify and understand their perception of their own wellbeing and to understand the individual and contextual contributory factors. A mixed methods approach is proposed using a two-stage explanatory design; an initial questionnaire will inform a semi-structured interview stage. While there have been international studies which have investigated teacher wellbeing, there is little research into the wellbeing of New Zealand teachers.
