Research

Jenny joined the team in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Medicine in June 2017.

Her role is to continue the development of the department's postgraduate programmes, and in particular the Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine.

Jenny has been interested in musculoskeletal medicine since her early years in general practice.

In 2006, she graduated with the Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine. Since then, she has continued with academic study, taking some master's papers.

Study has given Jenny an appreciation of the resources available, and of the many ways evidence can be applied to practice.

Musculoskeletal medicine diagnoses make up 20-25% of general practice, giving Jenny plenty of opportunities to apply what she has learnt.

Jenny now practices predominantly as a musculoskeletal physician with a special interest in musculoskeletal pain conditions that affect the older patient.
