Information: macOS Sonoma 14 support at the University of Otago
Timeframe: Tuesday, 26th September 2023 to February 2024

Audience: All Staff and Students using Apple Mac computers
Description: macOS Sonoma 14 was released as a free upgrade to end users on September 26, 2023. Compatible Macs may display an “Upgrade Now” button in Software Update.
ITS does not recommend upgrading to any new operating system until it is at least three months old, allowing any problems to be resolved.
ITS-supported versions of macOS are:
- macOS Monterey 12
- macOS Ventura 13
Macs with older versions of macOS should be upgraded to an Apple (and ITS) supported version, preferably macOS Ventura 13.
