The University of Otago was honoured to be able to travel to Fiji and Samoa in October this year to meet with alumni in-person. It was fabulous to be able to travel with Vice-Chancellor, Professor David Murdoch and to once again provide an opportunity for Otago alumni to reconnect with each other and with University leaders.

The University was thrilled to be able to meet with alumni in Fiji and was honoured to be welcomed by the Fiji alumni group lead by Dr Joji Malani. Dr Malani delivered a wonderful speech that highlighted the Otago spirit felt by alumni. On behalf of the group, he presented Professor Murdoch with a very special gift of a tabua. The evening concluded with alumni singing a farewell song to University staff.
