THEA490 Dissertation

The supervised study of an approved topic in theatre studies, involving research and leading to the presentation of a dissertation of between 12,000 and 13,000 words.

THEA 490 offers students the exciting challenge of developing their own research project, spending an extended period of work on a topic of their choosing and writing a dissertation on this topic.

All projects must be approved by the Head of Programme and Theatre Studies Postgraduate Liaison.

This is a full-year paper, which is taken within a calendar year. Prospective students should contact the Head of the Theatre Studies Programme. Candidates are required to submit a topic, an outline (one to two pages) of their dissertation and a bibliography by 1 February 2019.
