Overview

This research aims to explore the attitudes, behaviours, and experiences of Pacific males with various social media platforms.

The study will adopt an in-depth, qualitative approach to gather rich insights through interviews, focus groups, and content analysis.

Understanding how Pacific males engage with social media can shed light on cultural influences, identity expression, and community building.

The findings may inform social media strategies, promoting cultural inclusivity and tailored content for Pacific families and communities in the diaspora and the Pacific region.

Participants' voices will contribute to a more nuanced understanding of digital interactions within New Zealand's Pacific community.

This is one of many research opportunities in the Department of Human Nutrition and the Division of Sciences.
