Overview

Our laboratory focuses on understanding how the excitability of corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) neurons is regulated. CRH neurons are activated in response to stress and are responsible for controlling the levels of corticosteroid stress hormones in the body.

This project will use a combination of electrophysiological recordings and functional imaging techniques to understand how CRH neuron excitability is controlled both in the basal state and following exposure to stress.
