Associate Professor Richard Linscott's research interests are in psychotic experiences and psychometric risk for schizophrenia, the distribution of these in the general population, factors that increase risk of psychotic experiences, and basic mechanisms that lead to risk status.
He has active collaborations with research groups in Australia, Spain and the Netherlands. He holds an appointment as an Honorary Researcher in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology, Maastricht University, the Netherlands.
He joined the Department as a Teaching Fellow in 1996 before completing his PhD and professional training in clinical psychology in 1999. Since then, he has been engaged in teaching (postgraduate and undergraduate) and research as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer. Associate Professor Linscott was appointed the Director of Clinical Training in 2008. He is a registered clinical psychologist.
