Te Koronga symposium participants thumbOn the 14th of June Te Koronga was proud to present our annual research theme symposium on Indigenous Science at the Otago Musseum. Our guest speakers and researchers had the luxury of presenting to a full house.

In the morning we were greeted by our co-directors and heard from a panel consisting of people from the community, research and government sectors to challenge our thinking moving forward. The second half of the day we heard from our students and our researchers on some current and innovative research projects they are doing in this space.

Te Koronga was also proud to present the launch of the Waipuna model – an outlook on Māori water safety and health and well-being as a direct product of Dr Chanel Phillips PhD research in collaboration with the communities Chanel worked alongside.
