Publishing your research – unlock savings and open access in 2024

Publish in over 9800 titles across 17 publishers. Escape article processing charges (APCs) and unlock open access with our Read and Publish Agreements. Last year over 450 articles, by Otago researchers, were published open access under these agreements

What's new for 2024?

  • More agreements: now at 17
  • Expanded title list: over 9800 titles available
  • New publishers: APA, Geological Society, Microbiology Society, and 8 Brill titles
  • Upgrades: some agreements now include Gold Open Access titles
  • Extra discounts: enjoy additional publishing discounts on APCs for some titles not included in the agreements
  • OUR Archive: some agreements allow you to submit your articles direct to our institutional repository

What's in it for me?

Otago researchers can take advantage of cost-free open access publishing with no change to existing publishing practices. Eligibility will be confirmed on acceptance. Benefit from:

  • Increased visibility: open access articles gain wider exposure
  • Larger readership: reach a broader audience for your research
  • Higher citations: elevate the impact potential of your work
