Professional qualifications for Accounting and Finance students
Accelerate your career by completing the core study requirements for professional qualifications with us.
Accountancy students can work towards professional qualifications from CAANZ and CPA, while Finance students can work towards CFA certification. The Department is the only New Zealand-based CFA® Program Partner, one of only around 125 CFA-partner universities internationally.

Accountancy and Finance education at Otago is so much more than learning from textbooks and we value our close links with the business community.
Many of our academic staff have worked in public and private sector roles prior to joining academia, and all our staff maintain a connection. Our Community Accounting Initiative, staff and student research projects for business clients, visitor programme and regular guest lecturers are other ways we stay connected with the community.
