Timeline for submission of a New Programme Proposal
Type of proposal | If submitted by* | Permits |
---|---|---|
New Programme Proposal | February or March Divisional Boards | Submission to CUAP Round 1 and, subject to CUAP approval, implementation in the following academic year.
For minor subjects where a major subject already exists, implementation will be in the following academic year, without the need for CUAP approval.
|
April to June | Submission to CUAP Round 2
Departments are encouraged to consider submission to CUAP Round 2 for implementation in the year after the following academic year (i.e., 18 months in advance). This ensures a full year of marketing inclusion within publications, and ensures that the new qualification/major is available for enrolment from 1 May when Programme Enrolment opens. For minor subjects where a major subject already exists, implementation will be in the following academic year, without the need for CUAP approval
| |
July to October Divisional Boards | Submission to CUAP Round 1 in the following academic year. For minor subjects where a major subject already exists, CUAP approval is not needed, but the proposal will not be implemented in the following academic year.
