Casual bookings (i.e. bookings for events other than lectures and other timetabled classes) for pool lecture theatres, computer laboratories and centralised departmental rooms can be requested by University staff, students and members of the public.
Making a booking
If you are a staff member requesting a booking for a University-related activity, please email email@example.com with details of your request.
If you are not a University staff member or your booking is for a non-University related event, please fill in the External Booking Request form. Once the form has been submitted, we will contact you by email regarding options for rooms and to confirm any other details required to process your request.
If you are booking a pool room on the University of Otago's Dunedin campus and you require a technician to help you with equipment during your booking, please contact the Lecture Theatre Technician prior to your booking.
If you require assistance outside business hours (8am to 5 pm), call the lecture theatres hotline on (03) 479 8486.

Please note that we are unable to offer technical support for bookings for centralised departmental rooms. You will need to contact the relevant department for assistance. For assistance with bookings for the Barnett and Colquhoun lecture theatres, phone (03) 479 7086.
If you are booking a pool computer laboratory on the University of Otago's Dunedin Campus and you require assistance with equipment or software during your booking, please contact Student IT prior to your booking by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Support hours for pool computer laboratories on the Dunedin Campus are 9:00am to 9:00pm Monday to Friday.
Support over the weekends and at other times can be arranged by emailing email@example.com.
If you are booking a room in the Auckland Centre and require assistance, please contact the staff prior to the booking between the hours 8:30am and 4:50pm on (09) 373 9700 or email firstname.lastname@example.org

If a room is locked during normal hours you should contact staff listed above in the first instance, or the lecture theatres hotline.
Security Services (Campus Watch) are responsible for opening and closing lecture theatres after hours. They can be contacted on (03) 479 5000.
There are areas on the Dunedin campus where catering can be accommodated, although the consumption of food and drink is not permitted in University of Otago Pool Rooms. Please contact the University of Otago Union to arrange catering on (03) 479 5304 or email email@example.com.
Cleaning, heating and staffing arrangements are organised in advance. Failing 5 days' notice of cancellation, the University reserves the right to levy full charges.
