Research undertaken by Professor John Reynolds and colleagues at the University of Otago has found an exciting new treatment to help people recover from the effects of a stroke.

Instead of treating the damaged area affected by the stroke, their research targets the healthy, undamaged side of the brain using an implanted electrical stimulator.  And so far, the results are encouraging.

Visit the Otago Daily Times website to learn more about this innovative research.
