What is the Māori Business Boot Camp?
The Māori Business Boot Camp is an amazing opportunity for Y12 and Y13 Māori students in Aotearoa who are interested in business.
The Boot Camp is free. It's held on campus in Dunedin.
There are a number of travel scholarships available for students who live outside Dunedin.
Māori Business Boot Camp activities
Students will:
- develop skills in innovation, collaboration, entrepreneurship, economics, sustainability and Māori business frameworks
- participate in business activities that will inspire and challenge their business mindset
- explore the University campus and the student city of Dunedin
- experience life in a residential college
- meet Te Huka Mātauraka staff who provide great support for Māori students while they are studying at Otago
When is the Māori Business Boot Camp?
The Boot Camp is held Monday 5 – Thursday 8 October 2020.
The four-day programme is run by academic staff from the University of Otago and Audacious powered by Startup Dunedin.
Who can apply?
- Y12 and Y13 students of Māori descent
- Currently enrolled in a New Zealand secondary school
- Working towards achieving University Entrance
- Considering studying at the University of Otago
