Gene Genie broadcast on RNZ
The Royal Society of New Zealand with BBC science presenter and geneticist Dr Adam Rutherford will facilitate a series of panel discussions on genetics.
With genetics moving at an incredible rate, these discussions will focus on both opportunities and ethical issues.
The Christchurch event, 6pm 15 March, exploring 'Genetics and disease' features esteemed researchers:
- Professor Parry Guilford (Centre for Translational Cancer Research)
- Professor Vicky Cameron (Christchurch Heart Institute)
- Professor Nigel French (Massey University)
Dates and locations
These panel discussions are open to the public in Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Tauranga and Auckland. Recordings of these lectures will also to be broadcast on RNZ National.
